We are one of the most wired, technology driven campuses in the country. Technology innovations abound at Babson such as blackboard, a technology incubator for faculty to enhance courses, a Web Excel Center created by faculty as an Excel resource tool for students, and a state-of-the-art computer network. The network provides industry-standard software and wireless networking in the Horn Library, the Horn Computer Center, Reynolds Campus Center, Olin Hall and most Residence Halls. There are 8,200 network connections on campus - students can use computers from anywhere on campus. All students have e-mail accounts and unlimited access to the Internet.
Since the fall of 2000, every incoming Babson student has received a leased laptop computer as part of the College's Technology Initiative. The laptops are loaded with software to optimize interactive learning, giving students equal access to high-level technology and software both in and out of the classroom.
