Babson is one of only a few schools in the United States to teach accounting, marketing, finance, management operations, organizational behavior, and economics in one integrated course - the Intermediate Management Experience (IME). We consider the IME to be the nucleus of your business education. This two-semester course which typically starts in your sophomore year, is taught by a "team" of professors, experts in their respective fields, and relates the interaction of each facet of business with the others.
You'll learn to examine real business problems from different or combined perspectives and analyze the various factors that may affect the ability of a business to execute its strategy.
As the student progresses through the Intermediate Program, the study of business and the liberal arts becomes more sophisticated. At this level, students may choose from more than 30 liberal arts electives which could include Chinese History, Physical Anthropology, Modern American Drama, Film History, Literature of the Fantastic, and African-American Studies.
