Our Center

The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship is the hub for entrepreneurial activity at Babson. The center’s mission is to lead the global advancement of entrepreneurship education and practice through the development of academic, research, and outreach initiatives that inspire entrepreneurial thinking and cultivate entrepreneurial leadership in all organizations and society.

Academic Programs
Our faculty and staff recognize the interdisciplinary value of entrepreneurship and weave it throughout our curricular and co-curricular programs. Our integrated programs represent the highest level of innovation in entrepreneurship education.

Research, Publications, Cases
Babson faculty members are leading providers of global entrepreneurship intellectual capital. Their path-breaking entrepreneurship research defines, shapes, and advances the field. Their work can be seen in leading academic journals and best-selling textbooks and they infuse this intellectual capital into our academic programs with teaching cases.

Outreach Programs and Events
At Babson, we believe in combining entrepreneurship theory and practice with real-world exposure and experience. Through our outreach programs we train educators from around the world how to teach this way and also provide our students and community with exposure and hands-on experience.

Dedicated in 1998, the center is named for Arthur M. Blank B'63, H'98, co-founder of The Home Depot; chairman, president, and CEO of AMB Group, LLC; and chairman of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. Blank’s generous endowment supports our entrepreneurial programs and provides a home for our entrepreneurship center in a 6,000-square-foot building with teaching, research, and office space.
