What are the program dates?
Check in is on May 25. The program begins on May 26 and concludes on June 12.
What is the application deadline?
Our early deadline for admission and financial aid applications is February 27 and the regular deadline is March 31. After that date, applications will be considered on a space-available basis. Housing is not guaranteed after the deadline.
When will I find out if I've been accepted?
Admission and financial aid notifications will be released on April 17 by e-mail and by postal mail. If you apply by the early deadline, you will receive notification by March 13.
Who is eligible to participate in Babson Business Edge?
To be considered for Babson Business Edge, you must have:
- Completed at least your sophomore year. Recent graduates are also eligible to apply
- Majored in something other than business
- A competitive grade point average
Where can I get an application?
Click here for application. In addition to the written application, you must also submit the following:
- Official transcript from each college you have attended
- Two letters of recommendation:
- One from a professor
- One from an employer or professor - If applying for aid, 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Application fee of $50
I've attended more than one college. Do I need to send a transcript from each school with my application?
Yes.
What are the requirements for my letters of recommendation?
You must submit two letters of recommendation: one from a professor, and one from an employer or professor. Guidelines for your recommenders are included in the Babson Business Edge Application. Letters of recommendation may be sent directly to Babson Business Edge or included with the applicant's other application materials. Please have your recommender sign your letter across the envelope seal.

How many credits will I get?
Six academic credits will be awarded.
Will the credits transfer to my school?
Each school has its own policies concerning the acceptance of transfer credit. We can provide a full syllabus for you to submit to your school for transfer consideration.
How much does the program cost?
$6,600.
When are tuition payments due?
A non-refundable deposit of $600 is due by May 1, 2009, which will reserve both your room and place in the program. The balance of the tuition is due by May 15, 2009.
What program expenses does tuition cover?
Tuition includes course instruction, housing, meals, program materials, site visits, and scheduled social events.
Is financial aid available?
We have established both need-based and merit-based scholarships. Please request that your 2007-2008 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) results be sent to Babson College, federal code 002121.
What are the guidelines for withdrawal from the program?
All requests to withdraw from the program must be submitted to the program director in writing. Tuition will be refunded based on the date the written notice is received (excluding the non-refundable deposit).

Can I have a single room?
Our base tuition reserves a spot in an air-conditioned double room. Single rooms are available for an additional fee of $500.
When is check-in?
You should plan to check-in on Monday, May 25, 2009 (Memorial Day) between 3 and 5 p.m. There will be a welcome dinner that evening.
What should I bring?
You will need to bring bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows), towels, toiletries, and other personal care items, including a hair dryer if needed. Also bring paper, pens, other study aids, an alarm clock, and a radio if needed. Rooms are air-conditioned, so no fans are needed. Evenings can be chilly in early summer, so bring layers.
Do I need to bring my computer?
No. Babson Business Edge participants will each receive a laptop for use during the three-week program. All laptops must be returned on the final day of the program.
Can I bring a car?
Yes, you can bring your car. Parking will be available on campus.
What is Boston weather like in May and June?

How close is Babson to Boston?
Boston is located just 14 miles away. Babson is near a train line that ends in the heart of the city. During your time at Babson, we encourage you to explore the historic city of Boston. We'll organize a variety of outings for Babson Business Edge participants, such as trips to museums, famous Faneuil Hall and the Quincy Market, the North End, and of course, Fenway Park.
