How to Request a Web Site

A student organization or club should e-mail Besjon Alivandi, the Graduate Student Council Director of Technology, to identify their desire to build a web site.

The GSC will work with the organization or club to make sure that all their paperwork is in place and that the group has read the terms and conditions of having a web site on the Babson College servers.

The GSC will send to ITSD a validated request for creation of the new web site including the following information.

The name and acronym of the organization or club

A short two sentence description of the organization or club

Two User ID’s for the people responsible for maintaining the web page.

ITSD will set up the shell of the site and add the appropriate users to the CommonSpot system.

ITSD will send an e-mail to the two users giving them the URL of the site as well as the Student Organization Quick Start Guide so that they can begin adding content immediately.

Once the organization feels they are ready to go live with the site they will notify the GSC for approval.

The GSC will notify ITSD that the site has the green light to go live and ITSD will activate the site.

It is the responsibility of the organization to keep the website up to date and current. Sites that are not updated on a regular basis may be removed.
