BABSON GLOBAL OUTREACH THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP
is a non-profit that instills college students, alumni and faculty with a greater philanthropic desire to empower entrepreneurs in developing countries with the education and resources to build sustainable businesses.
BGOE offers an opportunity for current business students to travel to a developing country and work directly with the local entrepreneurs in order to create sustainable business models that will contribute to the economic health of the region. Through this work, business students will take an active part in helping people outside of their normal scope, gaining experience in applying entrepreneurial tools in a real world setting.
By working directly with entrepreneurs in developing regions, business students put into practice the skills learned throughout their education while gaining invaluable skills in cross-cultural communication, managing a business with limited resources, and economic development. The entrepreneurs earn more than just a business: they learn life-long skills that prepare them to manage a business and to contribute to the development of their local economy.
