 Basic StepsInstructions:
Step 1: Access Thomason One Banker via the Library web site link to. Click the "Deals" button on the top left corner of the page to access the M&A database. Note: there are many canned reports available on M&A domestic & global activity available on the main blue bar.
Step 2: Advanced Searching - Access the Advanced Search function by choosing that option in the top left navigation. Select "All Mergers & Acquisitions" check box. (Any time you wish to search for transactions that occurred before 2001, you must use the Advanced Search function).
Step 3: - Specifying Criteria - Select search criteria using the options in the left "data Items" box menu. You can choose from several different categories such as Target Name, Deal Value, Financials (such as Ratio of Deal Value to EBITDA or Ratio of Offer price to EPS), or Advisors. Each time you run a search, you will see the number of results found in the Count column. You may wish to narrow the search criteria if the number is high. Once you are satisfied with the criteria results, choose report output options.
Step 4: Click the "Executive Search" button at the bottom of the page.
