Undergraduate Programs

Our undergraduate academic program cultivates entrepreneurial thinking that students can apply in all environments from start-up ventures to large corporations.

First Year
First-year undergraduates jump right into business with the Foundation Management Experience, a required practicum in entrepreneurial new venture creation. Student teams plan and develop a for-profit venture, then launch, manage, and liquidate it, selecting a local social service agency to receive its profits.

Second Year
Interested second-year Babson students are eligible for participation in the Accelerated Curriculum for Entrepreneurship (ACE), an integrated, yearlong program that addresses the fundamentals of entrepreneurship education. ACE students enhance their understanding of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur, how to evaluate and investigate new business opportunities, and how to prepare a business plan.

Third and Fourth Year
Students in their junior and senior year who have completed their core curriculum requirements are eligible to choose from 14 elective entrepreneurship courses. These courses, including the Sociology of Entrepreneurship, a liberal arts look at entrepreneurship, are interdisciplinary in nature, and students come away with an entrepreneurial skill set. With this entrepreneurial skill set, our graduates are prepared for exciting careers in any environment–large or small.

While our curriculum is highly integrated, our students are invited to concentrate in specialized disciplines, including entrepreneurship. To learn more about the entrepreneurship concentration, please click here.

To compliment what students are learning in the classroom there are a number of co-curricular entrepreneurship activities.
