MBA Programs

The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College cultivates entrepreneurial thinking that students can apply in start-up ventures and the corporate environment.

Core Curriculum
In 1993, we made a commitment to entrepreneurship as the epicenter of our pedagogy with the adoption of a holistic and integrated core curriculum for full-time students. The program traces the new venture creation cycle and introduces traditional business principles within the context of entrepreneurial thought.

Elective Curriculum
The elective curriculum in entrepreneurship is the largest elective curriculum in entrepreneurship of any of the top MBA programs. Our independent entrepreneurship courses fall into three broad categories:

1. Foundation classes -- fundamental holistic entrepreneurship skills;
2. Specialty classes -- specific disciplines within entrepreneurship;
3. Support classes -- deep knowledge in one specific area study.

Prior to graduating, 90 percent of our student body completes elective entrepreneurship coursework at the foundation level, including writing a full business plan. More than 63 percent of our students continue their study of entrepreneurship by enrolling in our support and specialty courses.

Specialty Programs
Our flagship speciality program, Entrepreneurship Intensity Track, was developed in 2000. This customized elective curriculum is designed for students committed to starting a high-potential venture while completing their MBA.
