At Babson, we believe that providing our students with a global perspective is an essential part of their education. We provide and encourage opportunities for international study and also incorporate a global perspective into our classroom discussions. With nearly 20% of our undergraduate population being international, it is impossible not to.
Through our international study experiences and the Babson community culture, students gain a better perspective on world affairs and greater knowledge of international business practices. At the same time, they build an international network for their professional lives, develop cross-cultural communication skills, and become more flexible and adaptable to new circumstances. Our students are well equipped to excel in the global marketplace.
“Own what you can always carry with you; know languages, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your bag." - A. Solzhenitsyn
Undergraduate Semester Abroad
Each year, approximately 120 Babson undergraduates study at colleges and universities outside the United States. Through Babson's Education Abroad Program, undergraduates can study at 48 institutions in 27 countries and take courses in line with their academic goals and personal interests. Students can also elect to study for shorter terms during the winter, spring and summer sessions.
Off Shore Courses
Babson offers a series of unique international elective courses in Europe, Latin America and Africa. Depending on the course focus there are opportunities to explore a variety of subject matter including international business, entrepreneurship, theatre and volunteerism/community building. All courses provide an intensive classroom experience prior to travel and combine that with 'in country' guest lectures, company site visits and rich cultural experiences. Off Shore Courses are offered during winter and spring breaks and the summer term.
