Babson Consulting Services enables students to apply classroom learning to practical real-world business challenges by performing consulting work that delivers real value for sponsor companies. These experiences result in enhanced career and professional development for the students, and company sponsors gain valuable new insights and solutions to their immediate business issues. Babson Consulting Services’ programs include the Business Consulting Alliance Program (BCAP), in which a team of five to seven MBA students and a faculty adviser are assigned to your alliance company for the academic year and two projects are completed; and the Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE), a semester-long consulting program in which teams of three to five undergraduate or MBA students work on a business challenge for a company. This is a unique opportunity for non-for-profits and small or large companies to have a team of students address a current business need, and for students to gain real work experience.
To volunteer as a company sponsor you must have an appropriate project and complete an application. The time commitment is about an hour a week during the course of the project and an additional four to five hours at the beginning of the project to introduce the students to the company and at the end of the semester to attend the students’ final presentation.
