Center for Career Development
The Center for Career Development believes that the career planning process is as important as job placement. The involvement of CCD alumni in our career education, internship, and recruiting programs is an invaluable resource to current students and other alumni.

Career Education and Exploration
Career education and exploration is a fundamental ingredient for a successful job search. CCD offers a variety of programs, workshops, and services to further this process.

Career Expo, which is held every fall, provides undergraduate and MBA students with a forum at which they can investigate a variety of industries and learn more about the options available in today's market. Approximately, 100 companies participate in Career Expo each year. Babson alumni represent a significant number of those companies.

The Alumni Career Educators (ACE) Program is another way alumni can become involved. ACE volunteers are alumni who are willing to give informational interviews about their careers to Babson undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni. Students say that the program is a great tool for building a network and gathering career information. ACE volunteers may also bring their creative energy and valuable information to students through participation in workshops and career education programming.

Externship Program
The Undergraduate Center for Career Development is excited to introduce a new tool to assist our students in their career development. Kicking off in fall 2006, CCD is proud to present Babson College’s Externship Program, offered to all undergraduate students at Babson. An externship provides organizations with the opportunity to meet and identify candidates early in the recruiting process for future internship and employment opportunities. Through this shared job-shadowing experience, students, alumni, and organizations are able to forge strong and valuable connections greatly beneficial to both the students and the sponsors. Additional information on the program can be viewed at www3.babson.edu/Alumni/volunteer/externship.cfm. Interested sponsors should click here.

Internships and Full-Time Opportunities undefined
CCD is committed to providing meaningful, professional career opportunities for Babson undergraduates and MBAs from a wide representation of industry and functional areas. Alumni are encouraged to post internship and full-time positions on our Recruiting@Babson Web site.

Career Affinity Groups
An initiative in support of the Graduate School's Top 25 Plan is the launch of Career Affinity Groups. The model is to bring key faculty, alumni, current MBAs, friends of Babson, and important industry leaders together in a forum for the purpose of education and networking. Affinity groups include the following areas: consumer products, technology, consulting/professional services, entrepreneurship, and financial services. As broad as some of these are, we anticipate additional groupings to launch that reflect the desires of our students and alumni.

MBA Alumni Mentor Program
The Alumni Mentor Program (AMP) launched its second year this fall and is one of Babson’s most innovative and ambitious initiatives to connect MBA alumni/ae to current students. AMP pairs an accomplished MBA alumnus with two incoming MBA students who have expressed an interest in their field. The partnership is designed so that students can benefit from the alumnus' professional experience -- develop a career strategy, learn about your industry and/or function, and hone professional skills that will help him/her with internship and career searches. In return, the relationship allows you to connect in a meaningful way with the MBA program and to have a direct impact on the employment of our students. AMP is in its second year after a successful pilot year in fall 2003. Currently there are an average of 100 alumni mentors and over 200 MBA students participating.
