Barry Familetto is a twenty-year commercial real estate professional. Following graduation from Babson's MBA program he helped to build his family's construction company to be one of the noted players of the 1980's real estate expansion. As a project manager for the company, he directed work on many of Babson's premier development projects including South Station and One Post Office Square.
As CFO for a development company, he played a key role in the completion of the first phase and opening of the two-hundred acre project that generated $144 million in first year revenue.
In 1997 he established his own firm that pioneered agent relationships within the newly deregulated telecommunications industry. He sold the firm in 2004. During that time he also established an Internet based dot com business. As co-founder, he led the company through the family and friends round, assembled a strategic management team, BOD, BOA and coordinated presentations to strategic Angel funds, VC funds and key industry players.
At Babson this past spring, Barry led the afternoon session of the course Managing Growing Businesses.
